So What's Happening At Nom-con This Year!?
Below you will find a list of events happening. Unfortunately while some events we had
hoped to do this year won't be happening, we've included new events
at the same time. Anything that didn't appear this year WILL most
likely appear next year with much more! =) We're already confirmed organisers for
many of them! Sadly as with any anime convention everything is
provisional and while we do our best to make them happen, volunteers
or guests can drop out due to work or other reasons. A lot of time
went into building this years con from scratch as it was it's first
year but as we'll have a lot of the work done for next year at the same time so we'll do our best on putting in alternatives and safeguards to make sure
everything does take place in future. That said we hope enjoy what we have to
offer and bear with us in our first year. Feedback after the con will
be much appreciated and we'll do our best to mold it more to being the
con you want. After all this is a convention run by fans for fans just like you! =)

already out to buy in the shops! We've blended in a nice mix of old
and new anime courtesy of Beez, MVM, and Manga entertainment. As
always we encourage everyone to buy anything you really like and help
support the industry!

Ever thought "that song works perfectly with that
scene", or "THAT CLIP WITH THIS AUDIO WOULD BE
HILARIOUS!!!?" Then you should have a fair idea what AMV's
(Anime Music Video) are and so did our amazing entrants. From the
terribly silly to the brilliantly dramatic the Amvs of Nom-con 2010
are a sight to behold...and giggle
at.

Mystery
A beloved anime character has been murdered. Who is
responsible for this dastardly deed? We can't be bothered hiring a
real detective…so it's up to
YOU!
Artist
Alley
Aspiring Artist? Artist Alley is not so much an alley,
but quite the corner where Artists, whether they are just starting
out or well sell their own works that they create themselves to the
lovely convention goers at Nom-Con. And they also get a chance to
take a break and do some doodling with others just like
them.
Games and
Tournaments
Choose your destiny! Right here at Nom-Con not only do
we have a feast of anime, manga, cosplay, stands and much more I
can't list right now for your fancy, we have a wide selection of
videogames that you can walk right in and play whenever you feel like
venting some convention excitement. For those who think they're 'ard
enough, there are tournaments waiting for you to show off your
skills. From the whimsy of Smash Bros Brawl, to the intense blows,
juggles and RAGE mode of Tekken 6 from the gritty battlefield of Call
of Duty 4 Modern Warfare 2 to the colourful parade of Blazblue
Calamity Trigger; from the familiar World Warriors of Street Fighter
to the tug of war between the UNSC and the Flood in Halo 3. Heaven or
Hell, Duel 1, let's

There's no 'I Will Survive' or 'Living on a

can just watch the practiced, can come together. Here, artists get
the chance to bopping, it's up to

for their attention to detail. Here is a game show to find the most
hardcore Lolita fashionista. This is a spectator sport, we welcome
both contestants and gawkers, and a trio of lovely goodies can be
won.

schedule to eat some delicious cake, enjoy a hot beverage and cast a
saucy glance at our lovely maids and butlers? We knew you would.

Tournaments
Come battle your critters at our Nom-con Pokemon
Battle Revolution Tournament! We will be battling out in Fourth
Generation so bring either HeartGold/SouSilver or
Pearl/Diamond/Platinum Pokemon team along to the event so you can
watch them on fullscreen in Pokemon Battle Revolution! However if
you're not a fan of the newer generations, why not go retro and bring
your old Pokemon Team from Red/Blue/Yellow on the Pokemon Stadium
Stadium N64 or Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal on N64 Pokemon
Stadium 2? Gotta Catch Em' All!
Pub Quiz
So just how well do you know your anime? Or are you
just here for the eye candy in cool costumes? We'll find out! The
winners will be cheered and exalted, and the losers shall be shunned
and made to wear a dunce

Special Awesome Variety Hour', our Omake/skits show, to entertain our
faces off! Is there that one Vocaloid song that you have to belt out
on the microphone? The stage is yours! Itching to perform a comedy
sketch that will have everyone falling off their seats in laughter?
Step into the limelight! Dance, sing, act, or do whatever you heart
desires and be in for a chance to win best performance! Come on, you

Rehearsal
If you're planning on taking part in Uncle Nom's
Super Special Awesome Variety Hour, you'll need a test run first.
If anyone loses a limb during their performance, we'll know what to
expect.
